Brent Huyett
Midland, MI

Brent is an accomplished horseman from Kansas, now residing in Michigan. He has been working with horses for over 15 years and with mustangs since 1995. His techniques combine body language, resistance free behavior management and common sense to communicate to horses in their own language, developing trust and a spirit of cooperation. These techniques can be used by the casual horse hobbyist through the most competitive sport horse enthusiast.
Aside from horse training, Brent is also an accomplished blacksmith and farrier, and avid team roper and roping instructor, High School Equestrian Team/Special Teams Coach, riding instructor and versatility showman.
Brent has studied the John Lyon’s methods and apprenticed under Ken McNabb in Cody, WY, he is a graduate of Wolverine Farrier School and is currently working toward his Master Journeyman Farrier status. He owns and manages Huyett Arena and Huyett Equine Behavior Management and Farrier Services and a longhorn cattle breeding operation.
